I was contacted by a woman who said she had a 3 leaf table that she needed refinished. She explained that her brother had started sanding the table and gave up, so she decided to call a professional.
Since the table was large and heavy she asked if I could come to her house and take a look at it to get a better idea of the condition. Turns out she only lived a few blocks away so I jumped in my car and headed over. The table was in rough shape after the attempts by her family member to sand it. There were deep scratches and it looked like it got into a fight with a belt sander and lost.
I told her that I wasn’t sure how well the stain would apply and that the base would need to be painted due to the amount of damage from the sanding. She agreed and my husband and I went over that evening to pick it up and bring it to the shop.
The project took about a week and the result came out great and I gained a new friend. We are now great friends and get together regularly to play games on her “new” table.
